400 Series Interval Timer
The 400 Series Interval Timer, an efficient electric handset timer, features a pointer that is manually set to the desired time. At the moment the knob is turned from zero, the switch MS closes and load A is energized. Once the set time has elapsed, the load is de-energized, and the electric handset timer stops at zero. There is a terminal connection (terminal 4) for load B, dedicated to an end-of-cycle light and/or audible signal. For enhanced precision in time settings, a toggle switch can be provided as added equipment, which allows the timer to be preset before engaging the load. This same toggle switch serves the dual function of initiating the time start and silencing the signal stop, thereby deactivating the end-of-cycle signal. The 400 Series Interval Timer is meticulously designed to control an electrical circuit for a set time upon the operation of the manual setting knob, which is directly linked to the switch operating cam. Unlike other timers, the electric handset timer ensures positive setting action without using a clutch. Calibrated dial settings are offered in ranges from 1 minute to 24 hours, making it suitable for controlling any electrically operated equipment or process where accurately timed electrical operation is of the essence, such as in machinery for processing, plastics molding, laundry, dry cleaning, electric ovens, furnaces, photographic equipment, and other critical applications.
