UL Listed vs. UL Recognized Components
UL Listed and UL Recognized are not interchangeable terms. A UL Listed product is evaluated as an end product within the scope of its applicable certification, while a UL Recognized Component is evaluated for use as part of a larger product or system under defined conditions of acceptability.
Because ATC offers complete controls as well as components intended for integration into larger systems, certification type should be confirmed on the exact product and part number rather than assumed from the collection name alone.
How to Select a UL-Certified ATC Product
Start by identifying the required control function, such as timing, phase monitoring, current monitoring, motor protection, pump alternation, hazardous-location interfacing, submersible-pump monitoring, power conversion, or electrical metering.
Then verify supply voltage, monitored electrical conditions, contact ratings, mounting style, communications, environmental requirements, control-system compatibility, and the UL certification applicable to the exact product and part number.
